On this cold, windy feruary morning , i woke up at approximately 7am . Not long after been awake i received message from a good friend Natalie , stating that the sky looked amazing from home in Hull and if i could see this ?

I quickly jumped up out of bed and into the little room at the front of the house .I couldn’t see anything but grey sky . After a few moments i decided just to check the back of the house which is north facing . I peered through the blinds to see a sky which had a mixture of colours , like a rainbow but not a actual rainbow if you know what i mean ! I quickly dashed into the computer room , picked up my camera and hoped for the best . After about 10 minutes it started to fade making it less visible . I am so glad that i have a great friend who thought of me when she saw this and decided to txt .

From now on each morning when i awake ,the first thing i will do is look out of the window , and see what the world has to offer me

They are polar stratospheric clouds. Caused by high (cold) clouds lit up from below by a low or below horizon sun. They are seen often in arctic Norway. Quite spectacular.
