Sitting Baby Sessions – Celebrate the Giggles, Grabs and Grins
Once your baby starts sitting confidently, everything changes. Their personality shines, their curiosity grows, and the smiles come thick and fast. This is what makes this one of the best ages to photograph. My Sitting Baby Sessions in my Hull photography studio are relaxed, playful and designed to celebrate this sweet little in-between stage that passes far too quickly.
In my cosy studio, I work in a calm, baby-led way that lets your little one take the lead. Whether they’re grabbing their toes, pulling funny faces, or giving those proud “look what I can do!” smiles, these sessions capture them exactly as they are at this fun age. Happy, expressive, and full of wonder.

There’s a real magic to this age! Babies are alert, giggly, and their real personality is starting to show through! But the best thing about this age is that they’re not yet fast enough to run away! It’s the perfect combination for beautiful, natural portraits.

What Your Session Includes
Every Sitting Baby Session in my Hull studio is designed to be calm, safe and enjoyable for both parents and baby. Your session includes:
A baby-led, relaxed session with plenty of time for cuddles and breaks
Simple, timeless setups with soft blankets and neutral tones
A choice of outfits from the studio wardrobe, or you can bring your own
Guided posing that keeps your baby comfortable and happy
Family photos if you’d like them – I always encourage Mums and Dads to step in for a few photos!
My goal is to create images that feel natural and full of emotion and that capture your baby’s personality. These photographs will only grow more meaningful as your baby grows.
When to Book Your Sitting Baby Session
Most babies are ready for their sitter session around 6–9 months, depending on their development. Once your baby can sit steadily without support for more than a minute, you’re good to go.
